Which cars use the M177 engine?

What is the difference between M177 LS1 and LS2?
They are two versions of the M177 used in different models, and some parts differ between them. We list the version in every product title, for example LS1 for the C63 (205) and LS2 for the E63 (213). If you are not sure, send us your VIN and we will confirm the right part.
Do M177 upgrades need a tune?
Cold air intakes, FTA adapters, couplers and Exhaust Valve Modules are plug and play and need no tune. Wide open thermostats need no tune either, but should be installed by an experienced mechanic. Catless downpipes need a tune to remove the check engine light.
Do you make an M177 thermostat?
Yes. Our M177 wide open thermostat keeps coolant flowing through the radiator at 100% at all times, instead of waiting for the factory thermostat to open at around 100°C. It is designed for racing applications and suits hot climates like the UAE, but is not recommended in very cold weather.
