The M157 is the 5.5L twin-turbo V8 used in AMG 63 models such as the E63 (212), CLS63 (218), S63 (222 and 221), G63 (463) and ML63 (166). BlackBoost makes cold air intakes, catless downpipes, exhaust systems, wide open thermostats, OEM replacement ducts and a billet oil filter cap for it.

Which cars use the M157 engine?

Are M157 downpipes different for AWD and RWD?
Yes, for some models. We list the E63 (212) and CLS63 (218) catless downpipes separately for 4MATIC (AWD) and RWD, so choose the version that matches your car. Catless downpipes need a tune to remove the check engine light and are for race use only.
Do you make an M157 cold air intake?
Yes. We make Gen-2 intakes for the E63 (212), CLS63 (218) and S63 (222 and 217), and intakes for the G63 (463), ML63, GL63, GLE63 and GLS63 (166) and SL63 (231). On stock vehicles our intakes have shown 8 to 30+ hp gains.
Do M157 upgrades need a tune?
Cold air intakes are plug and play and need no tune. Wide open thermostats need no tune either, but should be installed by an experienced mechanic. Catless downpipes need a tune to remove the check engine light.
