What is the difference between the M176 and the M177?
The M176 is used in Mercedes-Benz models such as the G500 and S560, and the M177 in Mercedes-AMG models such as the C63 and G63. Both are 4.0L twin-turbo V8s, but parts are model-specific, so buy by engine code and model.
Do you make a cold air intake for the G500 and G550?
Yes. Our Gen-2 cold air intake is available for the G500 and G550, and for the S560 (222 and 217). On stock vehicles our intakes have shown 8 to 30+ hp gains.
Do M176 upgrades need a tune?
Cold air intakes, FTA adapters, couplers and Exhaust Valve Modules are plug and play and need no tune. Wide open thermostats need no tune either, but should be installed by an experienced mechanic. Catless downpipes need a tune to remove the check engine light.
